This ceramic sculpture 'The Thinker' is an alternative to Rodin's sculpture of the same name. here the thinker has something in his hands to think about. It reminds me of the haiku 'Sitting quietly/spring comes and the grass/grows by itself.'  Like all thoughts the round object being held is removable and may be replaced by any other object or by none.
