Abstract art
Many of my paintings are abstract pictures which celebrate colour, pattern and form. They also express human emotions, symbolic representations of people, places or may simply be imaginative contributions to the visual world. They are objects of thought, which when they work can become objects of contemplation with many possible layers of meaning. This painting was inspired by a work of Hans Arp. I designed it as a tapestry when I was a student, but this has long disappeared. So recently I re-painted it.
Homage to Arp, acrylic, 60x48cm
